Driving back from the ferry heading towards the South, I decided to stop here. I was so lucky, the room had an antique charm and was so comfortable and clean with a modern shower and toiletries. The dinner was delicious! Highly recommended for anyone travelling pass or staying in the area.
This is a fabulous hotel! The food is great too. Their Christmas menu had an amazing cod with a crumb coating and I hope it gets added to their regular menu. Pret (I hope I’ve spelled that right) is a credit to your team
We had a stop-over during a trip from Elgin to Swindon, and this hotel was halfway. What a happy accident. The location is just off the M6 northbound, or southbound you drive through Gretna Green, and parking was plentiful. The staff were universally friendly and helpful. We had two deluxe double rooms, each with their own temperature control, king-sized bed, seating area and bathroom with bath and separate shower. The style is quite classic, but by no means tired, and everything was clean and fresh. We ate in the bar restaurant area and the food was great quality and well seasoned. The mixed grill was superb, and the salmon and pizzas both went down well too. The bar area is cozy with lots of pictures and knick-knacks showing the history of the building and area. All in all, a lovely, relaxing, and comfortable stay. Thanks to all the staff.
We chose the gretna chase hotel as part of our package for our wedding booked through the gretna wedding bureau, we had already stayed in the hotel before booking our wedding so it really was our number one choice and luckily our date was available. We stayed in the Paulo and francesca bridal suite for our wedding, the room was stunning. The staff are very helpful and attentive, set our tables up perfectly and was an absolute perfect day and night. Mostly all of our guests stayed in the hotel the night of the wedding too and everyone was happy with there room. Thanks again. 💜 We will be back to stay again, Gretna will always be a special place for us. Mr & Mrs Chalmers.
Came here a few times. It's the hotel my parents got married in so we like to visit it every year. We sit in the pub or outside with a lovely garden next to it. The pub has a cozy feel to it and the bedrooms and bathrooms are very nice.
