Having had my bag stolen in Couture, we tracked it to The Grapes. Security staff were amazing. They helped me to track my phone, turning the music off to allow us to hear it. We found the stolen bag with people had sat next to us in Couture. Couldn't have asked for more from the staff at the Grapes. As it turns out, they were also playing some great music so we stayed for a dance or two!
Used to rate this place before previous landlady left but not anymore. Refused entry by door staff to be told that someone in the same item of clothing had been over the radio as causing trouble. 1000% not me and mistaken identity! Found out from other places that this was not the case. Night spoiled over something that was blatantly a lie and proven to be after been let in other venues with no issues. Not how to run a business at all. Used to recommend but not after that! Improve it. Never had any issues like this at all. Upset is beyond an understatement. Hope never to experience this again. Never normally leave reviews but this couldn’t be left unsaid. Great night had elsewhere. This was the first time since the pub had been taken over. Not a good first impression.
A great pub, I don't know why Google insists on asking about food, food is not served. But it's cheap, great staff, pool table, darts and music.

Everyone raves about casa in Stafford but it's the grapes you need to go to! Run by an incredible woman! Highly recommended and its half the price of moat places
