Love the golden lion it's now my new local 💯 Came in today with my partner and the welcoming and service we received was 10/10!. We ended doing some shopping in Romford and then came bk and ordered some dinner , complements to the chef 👏👏 Love this pub! The staff are super friendly and prices are fair. Not a bad thing to say about the golden lion 🦁

Really enjoyed the lunch menu. Great value for money, family atmosphere, lovely staff..... overall an exceptionally enjoyable experience thankyou will be back again xx

Typical pub and this one is on of the oldest. Heard of stories even the kings make a break here... Must be looong before elizabeth. Oldest balkony door from 15 century if i remember right (we had some beers) Football and Darts in TV. Nice beer nice people

Held my party here in the function room. From the moment I booked this place to the end of the actual party night the staff have been amazing throughout. Absolutely Superb. Would recommend having your party at this venue without a second Thought. The function room itself is a great size, the staff went above and beyond and were very accommodating. The buffet was amazing value and food was really tasty. . Glad I booked here and not anywhere else. Amazing night and amazing staff. Thank you so much. If you want a party where you will be catered for and looked after with no issues stress free this is the place to book

I'm born and bred in Romford and there is simply no better pub I'd rather spend my spare time in than the Golden Lion! It ticks every single box. The building itself is 600+ years old and is like sitting in a slice of history. The ambience and atmosphere there is amazing! The staff are simply wonderful too! Since lockdown rules allowed, I've been going there several times a week and the current roster of staff is the best the Lion has ever had! Natalie and Louise G most often serve me and I couldn't want for a friendlier, warmer pair, such excellent service! I've also really appreciated all the other staff too including Gemma, Theresa, Louise F, Taylor, Rory etc etc, there's not a bad apple amongst them. The food is also exceptional at really good value. I'm currently making my way through their new menu and loving every bite! And their drink selection is brilliant too. I highly recommend this pub! 10/10 🍻
