On the square in barnstaple is the GLT. An old historical building. Nice clean bar with good service and a nice atmosphere. Nice for a quiet drink or a good old session.

Decent bunch of people and was even given a little tour of the haunted areas of the pub! Will be visiting again on my ventures to Devon

Thank you for providing a beautiful venue for my daughters 18th party last night. We had all of upstairs with a bar, nice chill out area, and a lovely room for the disco and food, and our own toilets. Excellent venue, I would completely recommend. 5 star 🌟 Thankyou Wendy

Stayed in Barnstaple for a few days and stopped by here to have a couple of drinks with some family. Perfect sun trap for the afternoon. Staff were very friendly, and I’m assuming it was the landlord who was having a nice chat with us, recommended a drink and gave us a taster sample. That’s some great customer service! It looks like it would be fun to come to at night, they seem to have tribute band nights, and I even spotted a separate cocktail bar inside. The atmosphere and decor was good, and the pool table was in the perfect place. The toilets could have smelt better, but a deep clean and simple air freshener can fix that.
