Cheap… Good service and beer tastes good. Just off the A38 and a nice sized car park. No beer garden but you can sit outside the front and watch the traffic pass by. Clean and tidy pub. 2 sides to this place, one has pool table and attracts workers at the end of the day, the other side is more of a family environment.

Garlic bread with cheese was nice, but it could have been presented better on a bigger plate rather than them being stacked on top of each other on a small plate. I don’t recommend the Squid, it was very oily with oil laden at the bottom of the plate, it took away the flavour of the actual dish. Also the Taco shells were dry, and not it a typical crispy way, more like they were passed their use-by-date.

Had a Sunday roast here this week, it was dreadful, the meal was tiny, the potatoes were awful and only had very tiny ones. The stuffing ball was the size of a marble only one slice of meat, a tiny amount of peas and carrots and the one piece of broccoli had the been boiled for so long that it was mushy. All of this on top of a thirty minute wait....safe to say I won't be going there again

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, food was very nice and delicious. I bought a voucher on groupon, it was for 2 people, burgers and drinks(includes alcoholic drinks). Very good value. Fairly good selection of drinks and burgers. We went on Wednesday evening so it wasn't very busy and didn't have to wait long for food. Definitely recommend it. Pub has 2 sections, bar side and restaurant side, we decided to go to restaurant side as it was quieter. Very nicely decorated pub.
