Lovely little pub with lots of books and crannies to sit in. Really friendly team. Food was good and reasonable value for 3 for £10 on tapas. App to order at the table but for some reason the drinks part wasn't working. Nice Christmas feel to the place

My wife and her team of Marie Curie nurses had a Christmas Meal on Monday 4th Dec. From first booking, to placing advance food orders, to reception upon arrival, then the food and service - everything was exceptional. Fantastic food and the management and staff could not have been more efficient or more friendly and more accommodating. Well Done Vintage Inns and thank you Golden Ball Whiston.

Very disappointing indeed!! Gray chicken and frozen fish with bachelors cold runny mush peas. The lady behind the bar was lovely but the cook needs to change profession. Shame for these kind of pub’s because the M.D can’t see what the customer is saying. I recommend managing the kitchen and checking the meals that get put out to paying customers.

A fantastic menu in a wonderfully traditional pub. Oak beams, lovely decor, great beers, plenty of choice on the menu, and delicious food ... all served with a smile. The quiet country village of Whiston also provides the perfect backdrop. Loved it.

We were served by Tasha and Amy. We did have to wait a little while to be served at the start(although we were spoken to straight away and was given an apology) but once served it was fantastic service, very attentive, I also want to say how well I felt Tasha did dealing with some potentially difficult customers. The food was outstanding chef mason and Emma did a wonderful job. Was a great treat for my birthday.
