About us

With a large and beautiful garden, incorporating its very own duck pond, featuring an island for the ducks to stay safe from foxes at night, as well as roaring log fires and oak beams inside for those darker and colder winter nights, the Goffs Manor has plenty of character and charm all year round.

Where better to celebrate the great British summer than in a great British pub garden with friends, family and great drinks. Celebrate this summer with Hall & Woodhouse and enjoy one of our delicious summer drinks.

Great quality food and a proper country pub atmosphere. Both bar staff were very attentive and Kalvin W even let try some of the beers before I bought them, and he had a great deal of knowledge of the beers. Clearly an artisan.

Family lunch was perfect, Steaks Turkey roast veg curry and truly the best fish and chips I've ever had. I don't say that lightly as I've had a few from all over the country. The two ladies that waited on our table were delightful and extremely informative, particularly with reference to food allergies. Great system on the digital menu. My only tiny negative was the sticky ginger pudding wasn't very sticky not very gingery and more custard needed. Thanks to all the team.

Gifts Manor pub is a great place for both daytime and evening meals and drinking. There is seating outside so it's great for summer days. Always good service and food.

I'd like to day nice things about this place because it could be so good. Could be, but isn't. It's all a bit confused.. The small bar to the left is lovely, but don't expect to get served (it was therefore also empty - well, it was when I visited). The main bar is not sure what it is, and the restaurant thinks it's something it isn't. I didn't try the food, admittedly, but the menu looked decent enough though a little pricey for the odd (and somewhat confused) atmosphere (there was also a children's menu, which is good). The staff seemed generally confused, as perhaps rightly they would be if the place doesn't know if it's a pub, bar, restaurant or none of the above. There's a massive beer garden, which must be lovely in the summer, and it's dog friendly (though I'm not sure if it was Snoop or Booh who was the 'Dog of the Month' as two signs gave me conflicting information; fitting, perhaps, that they were confused, too.). I'd like to come back, and be less confused, but in all honesty I don't think I will.
