At The Amberley Inn, we offer unique accommodation near Stroud. We have thirteen newly refurbished and comfortable ensuite bedrooms, each with their own individual character. Some of the rooms in our charming Cotswold inn have views overlooking the spectacular Woodchester Valley.
Didn't stay here so can't comment on rooms. The pub was a starting point for our walk and we had a drink before setting off. The barman who seemed to double up as the receptionist was very helpful giving directions and suggestions for other walks. Bar area was very comfortable and from what I could see the restaurant area looked inviting. Excellent walking in the area and a great view from the front. Local breweries on tap in the bar. Dog friendly as well with a menu dedicated solely to dogs. A drink was called paw star martini. If walking in the area would consider staying here.
The rooms were small, cosy and warm but we only stayed for one night. The other rooms looked lovely and spacious, the food was lovely, we sat in the dining room, they had some really good Ales in the bar for my husband, the staff are lovely and they had good gluten free options for breakfast and evening meals.
Celebrated my daughter's 30th birthday here with a party of 15. Excellent food and service from booking to to the table and hassle free. On initial enquiry Ben was amazing and thought of extra details I hadn't and reassured me including allocating a room for pur size party that was dedicated to us! We were met on arrival and Amber had dressed the tables before we arrived! The room looked perfect. Compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. Thank you all so very much. We loved it!
Wonderful stay, main reason for staying was the gluten free designation. All the food was excellent! Rooms are dated but still comfortable. Some maintenance needs to be done, but the staff were absolutely wonderful. Very old building with a pleasant garden out back. Watch your step out the front door as it is right on the road and cars go by at quite a clip.
Welcoming, incredibly kind and helpful is how I would describe the team at the Amberley. They couldn't do enough to help my mum and I at a really difficult time when we travelled to the area for a very poorly relative. The setting is lovely, the building is charming, and the decor and furniture add to its old charm. And the food was excellent too. I love places like this - so much more personality than a purpose-built hotel, and so much enthusiasm from the team. Thank you all at the Amberley!
