Located on Moreton in Marsh's delightful High Street, The Black Bear Inn is a traditional pub serving delicious food and fantastic local ales. We pride ourselves on our warm and friendly, home from home, welcome.
We are proud to be a Donnington Brewery pub serving their fantastic ales. Donnington Brewery brews real ale in the heart of the Cotswolds at the same 13th-century watermill bought by Thomas Arkell in 1827, and where and Richard Arkell began brewing on the site in 1865. Today, the mill wheel is still used to drive pumps and machinery to brew their beer the same way 150 years on and create the wonderful ales served in 17 pubs around the Cotswolds.
One thing you will always get here at The Black Bear is fantastic local produce at very reasonable prices. We source our ingredients as close to the pub as possible with lots of our meat coming from nearby Todenham Farm which is about a mile up the road!
On the menu you will find a mix of classic and traditional meals as well as our very popular "Midweek Madness" menu available at lunch time Monday - Friday where all dishes are just £5!.

Absolutely our new favourite place to eat when in the Cotswolds . A great menu , with very local and fresh choices. The confit duck leg was delicious.
Went there for a Sunday roast, I had the lamb. The lamb was very tender and juicy, highly recommended. Everyone there was very friendly and a very warm atmosphere.
Very nice place with two rooms.I went in the largest room. Popped in for a beer which was very nice. Large Cotswold brick fire place at one end with two large black bears either side. Food served here. Staff were friendly. Enjoyed my visit.
What a special place! Friendly, sincere service, absolutely delicious food. (Order the steak and ale pie - INCREDIBLE). Lovely atmosphere. Absolutely impeccable. You need to stop by!
Had dinner here yesterday 01/04/23 it was Amazing! It is a Great place Great Beer FANTASTIC FOOD!🍺 and lovely staff 😀 Dog friendly 2! Infact I think they want to steal our dogs 🐕 🤣🍻 if u r lucky enough to get a table eat here! 😉
