It's a traditional pub, who really took care of me on a rainy day. It is not all shiny new, it's old with the atmosphere attached. Stuff were busy preparing for Christmas, was a good experience for me. I was looking for a steak in the early afternoon and I got it there.
Myself and some friends came here on Saturday evening and had 3 courses from the Christmas menu. Food was lovely and came out piping hot. Service was great. Thanks Fagins
Went there on a Friday at 7pm with fellow staff members. Main course portions were large. If you can't eat a large meal take a plastic container with you. Enjoyed myself there. No blaring music thankfully. Fish and chips were especially surprising. Huge chunk of fish. Not like the rubbish in supermarkets. Car parking fine. Only problem was coming out at 9.30pm to find thick layer of frost on car windscreen and my de icer and scraper back at home. Besides that I would like to go back sometime for the fish and chips. We'll done fagins.
Went for Sunday carvery, not bad but not brill. Meat was good but veg was either over or under cooked. That said, the desserts were fantastic 👍
Our steak was cooked to perfection and our burger was delicious. Very friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. Absolutely no complaints about this place. Great place for lunch or dinner if you are nearby.
