Despite having 'Arkells Ales' on the outside, this is a lager-drinkers' pub. No draught ale at all, so had to accept a bottle. Saddening because it was otherwise a very nice pub.

A lovely pub nice staff but we went there because my Brother in law worked there before he passed.

Lovely place for a pint and a chat with the locals. But watch out for the cat ! You have been warned.

I had to look and make sure this was the same pub we called into on our walk. First when you walk in they is a smell I would call it a old room smell, we then asked for Ale to be told they only had bottles not draught , as for price we haven’t tried other local pubs yet but putting the £4.70 down to southern pricing , very friendly staff we didn’t see food but do they think we would eat here

This is a traditional working man's pub. Dont expect any fineries or stunning décor, but what it lacks there it makes up for with good beer at very reasonable prices. I don't know what the food is like as we just popped in for a quick one during a walk.
