Sometimes returning to a restaurant that you have really enjoyed is a bit like Russian roulette, was it only that day and that team that made it good? Well this certainly is not the case with the Bull in Fairford, I have now been 5 times either for Sunday Lunch or an evening meal and each time the team, the atmosphere and the food have been really great no hiccups or concers what so ever. I will continue to enjoy the occasional visit with friends and family. Top marks to the team.

Great room. Lovely character filled hotel. Personally wasn’t a huge fan of the restaurant. Terrine for starters served with literally the stalest old bits of bread (toast?) ever. Didn’t like this dish at all. Then, the slow cooked pork belly, while tasty, came without any crackling. Maybe it’s just me but to me pork belly means crackling - taking it off is a crime. One final point, I had nightmares about the horns on that huge bull head catching someone in the eye one day. Otherwise a lovely place to stay.

First stay over in the Bull at Fairford. Love the area and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Friendly and helpful staff, spacious and well equipped room, great food & wine, all reasonably priced. Cosy bar area, the log fire adding to the atmosphere. Rounded off by a lovely breakfast to see us on our way. Have already recommended to family & friends and would not hesitate in staying again. With thanks to all at the Bull.

Not really enough stars for the Service assessment! The Bull is located at one side of the Market Place in Fairford. What is now The Bull is two old pubs joined together to make a wonderfully interesting three storey building with loads of character. The main entrance opens into the hotel reception with the bar on the left. The staff were incredibly helpful and we decided on a light lunch before going to our room. The food was fresh and tasty, the curried parsnip and lentil soup was delicious, and we enjoyed it all at one of their window tables overlooking the market. The bedroom on the top floor was simply the best for price and originality. Very well decorated with an enormous ensuite shower and bathroom. We enjoyed lunch so much that after checking out the next day we returned for a repeat performance.

My family and I had a delightful Sunday lunch at The Bull Hotel in Fairford this past weekend. The food was flavourful and cooked to perfection, and the service was friendly and attentive. Our table was situated near the large window that overlooked the market square. The atmosphere was both warm and welcoming. We had a generous selection of starters and mains, from homemade soup to succulent roast beef. We also indulged in the desserts on offer, including the delicious sticky toffee pudding. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience and we will definitely be returning to The Bull Hotel for future meals. Highly recommendable!
