Just called in for my first pint in this pub (12.30pm)and I can't fault it,friendly staff, good pint, definitely go back again.👍

The Golden Lion has just reopened and is brilliant! It looks great and the atmosphere was really happy and friendly. We had some food and a drink and they said they will have a full menu soon. I heard the new owners had done a great job in making it a nice place to be so thought we'd try it out. It was great. Apparently, when COVID allows, there will be live music there too! They can even sort you out a drum lesson if you want! Give it a try!! Just need to add that as the pub couldn't open due to lockdown restrictions they've invested in a gourmet burger bar behind the pub. We tried them out last week and the burgers were lovely and cooked to order while we waited so fresh and a lovely salad and some chips on the side too. All good!!!!

Great place they quite often have some brilliant events on, when tree hugging crew (THC) have their speaker rig there it always makes for a great night.
