Lovely place. Very friendly staff. The room was very clean and has character. I would not use the word ‘dated’ since the building is several hundred years old 😊. Food great. I would recommend the White Hart Inn for food and accommodation. Will definitely be back.
For the price, the property is pretty decent - otherwise not the best. However, had two negatives: 1. The hot water was slightly unreliable and kept shuttling between hot and cold and they weren't sure how to fix it; 2. We mistakenly left a few items at the hotel and while we booked the courier and everything, had to make repeated requests and follow-ups to just request that someone may drop it off to a drop centre 15 minutes from there - basic customer servicing I feel.
Debris left in bathroom and used towel in bedroom left by previous occupant. Scruffy public area leading to bedroom, plaster flaking off walls. Noisy in the bedroom from the bar. NO PARKING. Nearest parking 100's of metres away. Meals OK but not memorable. Staff very good. Good location to explore other villages. Would never stay at the White Hart, Winchcombe ever again.
Stayed for one night, what a beautiful quirky building. The room was fantastic, with en suite. The guest rooms are in a separate building, right next door to the pub/ restaurant. Bed was very comfy and room had tea/coffee making facilities. Small tv in the corner. Breakfast is complimentary if you book directly with the Inn, or available at an additional if booked by a third party. We also had food, we did pre book the table as it gets busy in there. The food was amazing with gluten free options available. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely place to visit and stay. Will definitely return for another stay, I highly recommend this lovely little place.
Called in on a visit to Winchcombe. It looked lovely from the outside. Walked in and asked the lady who was working from a desk at the entrance if we could eat there. She said to go to the bar and they would seat us, which we did. Lovely table next to the fire, beautifully decorated room. Service was quick and cheerful from the young members of staff. My husband enjoyed his pint of Cheltenham Gold. The original lady came to take our order. As we only wanted something light 3 out of 4 of us went for the Goats Cheese and Beetroot Salad and the other person ordered a cheese and ham sandwich. What a disappointment our salad was - a pile of spinach leaves with two slices of grilled goats cheese and a dozen small slices of beetroot. All topped with a balsamic dressing. Felt like Popeye !!!! And it cost £14. Total rip off. What about some other salad items?? And some lentils or other pulses. Come on The White Hart, think outside the box.
