Good atmosphere, need to book on a weekend. Husband and wife run the place. She is front of house and serving he is the Chef. Really good food. If you're a foodie you will be happy. Everything was home cooked and good quality and fresh. Oh and decent portions.
Hidden Gem! What an amazing discovery! Outstanding family run restaurant with exceptional food and great ambience. This is one of the unique places where the quality of the seafood and meet is equally extraordinary! The mussles were simply perfect! And so was the Ribeye! Thank you, Chef! This place is permanently on my food map!
No visit to Stow is complete without dining here. Had a leisurely two course lunch - Scallops, then Cornish Lobster & Mac Cheese. Simply the best. Bravo 👏🏾
We ate lunch at “The Old Butcher” 10-4-23. My wife had the battered fish and chips £22. I had the monk fish, scallop, mussels, shrimp, with potato’s bouillabaisse £34. I do not eat large meals, but I walked away hungry. Both meals were very good. Service was friendly and atmosphere pleasant. They charge a 12.5% service fee.
Excellent food, charming atmosphere and very friendly service. Everything was delicious, although the scallops and the smoked salmon were particularly tasty. The owner even drove us back to our BnB when we couldn't find a taxi (reminder to plan ahead). A wonderful experience and would gladly go back next time we are in the area.
