About The Malt House
The Malt House is a family-run hotel and restaurant located on the Edge of The Cotswold Hills. Wendy and her family invite you to come and relax in the warm and friendly atmosphere that makes us special. Berkeley is the home of Berkeley Castle and the Dr Edward Jenner Museum, both of great historical interest. The Malt House is situated in the Vale of Berkeley with The Slimbridge Wetland Centre and the Severn way close by.

Beautiful Hotel. Just off the main street in Berkeley town. Lovely atmosphere. Amazing menu and home cooked food using local reputable suppliers. Sunday carvery.. Bookings in advance are advised.Ample parking with disabled entrance. Within walking distance of the lovely town,and it's famous Castle. I highly recommend calling in / Staying. 💯
Wendy and Stuart at The Malt House are very friendly and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. It's a perfect base to explore the surrounding area. The village and pub are fairly quiet, which is great if you're looking to get away from it all! They have a skittle alley which hosts local team games.
Superb family run hotel, we stayed for one night. The food and choice of drinks was excellent. We had a family room for the 3 of us, it was excellent value and none of us could fault it and we all agreed we will happily stay here again.
Our one night stay at The Malt House was excellent. The hotel was very reasonably priced, clean and full of old country pub charm. The hosts were welcoming and provided excellent service. The room was clean, spacious and comfy. The restaurant serves lovely food with good portion sizes, albeit there can be a bit of a wait for it to come. Overall, very happy and would definitely stay here if we're in the area again.
