About us

The Ferry Boat Inn (known locally as The FBI) is a traditional village pub located right on the shore of the River Dart in Dittisham.

We have a family friendly bar and probably one of the most stunning views from a pub window in the world!

When you visit, you will have a choice of four real ales, a comprehensive wine list and a pub menu that is out of the ordinary.

We attract a wide range of customers from locals to yachties, families of all ages, holidaymakers and celebrities all of whom come to soak up and enjoy the atmosphere. At the Ferry Boat Inn invariably you will start chatting to either one of the locals or another holiday maker that will make your visit even more memorable. Local characters abound and some are even known to take a drink off visiting holiday makers (no names mentioned!)

We look forward to seeing you soon!.

Stopped off for a pint on our travels. Nice locals pub set amongst the village streets. £4.30 for a pint! Can’t be bad 😊

Nice central location and a great place to stop off for a drink. Friendly owners and a nice little sheltered outside area. Lots of seating and popular for sport. No carpark but there is on street parking as well as 2 carparks nearby. Sits in a beautiful village.

Came here to play bingo. Ordered cheesy chips for my son. Real chips and a huge portion. Reasonably priced drinks.

Wandered in for a pint or 2. Ordered a bottle of dog and some pork scratchings and a Guinness for me mate. Some moosh on bar stool grabbed my bag of scratchings and said "I must be from the Midlands, because that's all they eat oop there" he then proceeded to read the ingredients on the packaging. I said most people from that part of the country squat on toilets, follow a different religion and don't eat pork based products. Fortunately Anders managed to grab the bar stool from my hands before I lost my sh1t and guided me away from said tosseur.... And then we had 2 pleasent beers. But on the 3rd..... They only stocked 2 bottles of Newcastle Brown, Although at a reasonable price for nowadays. The quantity in stock was completely unacceptable... So we went somewhere else..... Not that that was much better.

Great value for money, close to steam train and local walks. Food is great pub grub and staff are more than helpful! If your looking for a decent B&B with a bit of night life from the pub in the evening then you won't be dissapointed.
