Called in for an evening whilst on holiday, pub was busy but we found a table. Whilst ordering drinks and food at the bar, we were kindly given another table that had just been cleared. Staff friendly, good choice of traditional pub food at reasonable prices. Mix grill was great and a good plate full. Would happily return in fact we had visited here a few years previously.

Very traditional pub but fabulously welcoming staff. We popped in for a drink and to see if the England match was on - they put it on for us on the big screen. Was lovely to be able to take the dog and chill. The friendly team gave my dog a lot of treats and welcomed us to their pub. We didn’t eat as we had already eaten but other people were and they seemed very happy! Recommend for families!

Of all the pubs in town we returned here the most in our recent trips.... Friendly, down to Earth, reasonably priced, and the meals we had were tasty and good value. The Thai food was surprisingly good and a welcome unexpected addition to the menu.

We visited here during a short stopover in Bude. Struggled to find a café so ended up in the pub and we were really glad that we did. The lady behind the bar was really friendly and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed- including a betting slip to write my shopping list on. She was working really hard and never seem to stop. We enjoyed fish and chips and a cheese and mushroom omelette and my partner thoroughly enjoyed his pint of tribute. Will definitely return if in Bude again.

We stumbled upon this gem on chance. We were looking for a pub which took dogs and had classic pub grub. We found exactly that, the food was amazing and priced so well, it was almost too good to be true. We also had two dogs with us and they were welcome straight away with a large handful of treats, water and lots of attention! So glad we went in, staff were really lovely and friendly!
