Quiet on a weekday afternoon. Pleasant service. The bar is in a semi-permanent tent, which is a nice touch. Did the pot plants really have to be synthetic, I wonder?
The bar staff are really friendly and give good recommendations! They have a range of gins with many different flavours. It's a bit dark inside but overall a nice atmosphere. If you get a bit lost trying to find this place like I did, go into the entrance for 131 and you'll see a neon sign straight ahead pointing to Gin & Juice.
The bar staff literally charge what they want. Had two different bar staff charge totally different prices for the same drink. First bartender filled my friends wine up to the brim, no measures used and charged £6.50 for a small house white. I was served by another bartender and she poured mine using a measure and tried to charge me £13.50 for the same drink, same small house white wine. When I said I wouldn't pay that she then charged me £10. And then on another round I was charged £14 again, for the same glass of wine, same size. I would never have stayed here if I wasn't on a function, this is the worst bar I've been to. They hugely inflate their prices and make up charging as they go along. No consistency between bartenders you either use measures or you don't. Trying to take advantage of people late night drinking.
The bartenders are lovely and up for a laugh and the drinks, albeit a bit pricy, are lovely too. The huge selection of drinks can be a bit daunting at first - the watermelon one was my absolute favourite. Will definitely be back!
Loved this place! Love the decor, the outdoor seating areas with trees and plants surrounding you.. you almost feel as if you're in another country.. Nice little nooks if you wanted privacy, or open areas of you wanted more socialising. Could have spent the whole day there. I didn't try the food.. but drinks were delicious and half the price of London!
