A great friendly,well run inn. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, good selection of ales, light bar snacks served, good rooms at a very good price, lovely well cooked breakfast. Just a 20 minute walk to the centre of Durham.
Great location, fabulous service and rooms were clean and tidy. Even did us a ‘surprise’ breakfast to go as we were away before standard breakfast time. Thankyou 🙏
Lovely rooms within a hotel with pub. Stayed here for a concert. Bed was comfortable, owner was lovely and tried to organise us a lift back as some other guests were off to the same concert.
Lovely hotel. I only needed a small room for the night but it was clean and warm, shared bathroom but that was fine. The landlord was attentive, welcoming and pleasant, going out of his way to make me comfortable, and the breakfast...full English was excellent. Handy for the town centre and Cathedral, 20 min walk but bus service or short taxi ride. Thank you I'd certainly return.
Wendy and Graham go the extra mile to ensure that your stay is enjoyable. Food outlets, supermarkets and fuel outlets very close by. Breakfast really great and good range of beers in the bar. No evening meals but see above. Will definitely visit again
