About us

It's been known as The Georgic since 1945 and there was a pub on this site for many years before that, which means - apart from the addition of a lounge bar in the 1990s - things are kept nice and traditional in this busy hostelry in the heart of Shawlands. Popular within the community, The Georgic is a great pub where you will be given a friendly welcome, especially if you're a fan of horseracing or football, which is shown on our six televisions screens. There's a juke box and a games machine too.

Miss this place. Cannot wait for it to reopen. Always had such a pleasant experience. Special shout out to Chloë behind the bar, always made my friends and I feel at home!!

Great pub very friendly staff manageress barbara is very welcoming and if it's your first time. The regulars and staff make you feel at home the pubs been there for as long as I can remember and always been the go to place when I'm in shawlands would highly recommend it

Shame the pub is closed just now. Great place to meet up with friends. Missing the friendly staff, the great prices and having a laugh with the regulars. Cant wait for it to open again.
