Just had a lovely few day here. Rooms are lovely. Food was fine and all the staff were great. Not much to do in Criccieth and beach not very good.
The rooms are really good when you are visiting alone or has a couple or family if you do not snore heavily 😂however the service is good and the rooms are kept clean along with a clean bathroom too. The location is good even though it is situated on a road as it is a old building but looks lovely and cosy too, the food is lovely and you get breakfast and tea with a three course meal and your choice to decide what you would like that morning to eat that evening. The staff are lovely and friendly and helpful with whatever you want whether that be changing rooms, blanket for your room or something else.
Extremely over priced very dated hotel. Saturday night was £124 for a very basic standard old room. Couldn't check in until 4pm even though the room was ready. No WiFi. No water bottles. No shower gels or shampoos. Curtains were broken and would not close. Terrible pillows. Noisy pub opposite with loads of people shouting and screaming at 1am. I've stayed in hotels and B+Bs all over Wales and this is definitely one of the worst we've stayed in. £124 for one night is an absolute joke. Location is excellent, unfortunately the hotel isn't.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was large light and airy. Good breakfast. The hotel is large and caters for coach loads of people. Very friendly atmosphere. Very close to the station for a train trip to Barmouth or further. No parking but have an understanding with council.
