About us

A charming village pub nestled in the heart of Spaldwick village on the unspoiled greenbelt of Cambridgeshire.

This traditional, local pub offers a fresh, seasonal menu coupled with local craft beverages, all of which can be enjoyed in our rustic, country setting.

Our alfresco courtyard is the perfect oasis for any passing visitor or returning local. Take in the views of the rolling hills under our pergola or sit street side as you watch the world pass by, both are perfect with a drink in hand.

Didn't get to have food as we arrived spur of the moment and the kitchen was closed. Atmosphere was lovely so we stayed for a drink whilst researching somewhere else to go for food. Will definitely return when the kitchen is open. Menu looked good! Welcomes dogs.

Some parking around the back. Only for around 6-7 cars through so if you have a bigger vehicle park at the front. Some outdoor seating both at the rear and the front. The bar area is very nice, although not big, the seats are comfortable with a TV in the corner. Dogs allowed. The food was very nice and came out fairly quickly. To note, wear a jumper in the restaurant as its quite cold. It was originally a vehicle shed / garage and you can see the sliding doors at the end. The restaurant could also benefit from a little more atmospheric character like some music and maybe some candles lit.. ( it's almost too quiet ) The candles would actually help with the temperature..... Still, it's a nice classy pub for food.

A lovely village pub! Food was good, if not a little expensive, but the service was great, the menu extensive and the atmosphere lovely. We had Camembert and Padron peppers to start, steak and lamb for main, and a few drinks each. With a tip it came to around £100.

A good village pub and bistro set just off the A14 with adequate parking. Recently renovated and reopened. The menu is varied and the food is good. There are a range of beers and the service is very pleasant. A garden at the back and benches at the front offer nice place for a drink in the sun.
