After realizing we wouldn't find any food in Chapel St Leonards during this heavily raining day, we found this place to have a snack and a drink. Staff was friendly enough to get the kitchen running and we enjoyed a lovely fresh homemade soup and a good beer. Place is nice, has a pool table, a beer garden and a car park.
The people serving the food were absolutely lovely. We had a big Christmas Dinner here and felt really spoiled. Our waiter really looked after all our needs and even brought us mince pies at the end! Really lovely, the food was brilliant and the place was super nicely decorated and clean!!! Amazing experience!!!

I just called in for a couple of beers to kill time. The landlord behind the bar was friendly. There were not many people in the bar but it was a quiet time of day. The pub was clean and so were the toilets. The customers that were there were all regulars and seemed very friendly. I intend to go back one evening and have a meal there. Friends have told me that the meals are good.
Tiny bit disappointed to be honest. Could have said but no one likes to be embarrassed. Chicken burger was an over cooked SMALL piece of chicken in a dry bun. No relish blah blah. Chips tasted fine but were well soft. Beer was good and the service faultless. A cheery landlord which was nice. I struck lucky as my all day breakfast was excellent apart from the dry sliced mushrooms. The butter for the toast wasn't frozen so that was reassuring. Sausages, bacon and hash brown ten out of ten. Comfy seats with plenty of atmosphere going on. Highly recommended, just don't expect much from a chicken burger lol.
