Restaurant food extremely poor and cold. Not first time There is a family of 16 haveing the same problems as us. Would not recommend. Been a customer for over 20 years now won't dine ever again. What has gone on?
Came here this afternoon for a pre-Christmas family meal with my partner, his family and friends and found it to be rather pleasant. Food was delicious and well presented. All food came out in an orderly fashion and promptly. I think everyone in the party enjoyed their meals especially the desserts. Waitresses were great and very helpful and professional given how many of us there were. Will definitely be back. ••• Cannot comment on the rooms as never stayed but I presume that they are just as lovely.
Visited to meet up with parents service was super slow all the food came out in dribs and draps and if the first portion out had waited for the last there's would of been stone cold! It was also freezing in the area we sat/ate we all ate with our coats on! The food however was pleasant won't be going back soon!
Great building in need of professional traditional historic restoration in some areas. Staff are friendly and food is excellent, especially the Sunday roasts. Been here regularly over many years and the food is generally really consistent, well cooked, and well presented with good portion sizes. Can get quite busy on occasions because of that though, so sometimes expect a wait.
This is a historical venue and looking at the art on the walls you can see just how historically important this place is. I ate with family members who came to visit. We had a mixture of dishes including fish and chips, fish cakes and a burger. The food was cooked to perfection. The service was second to none and I couldn't find fault with it. The manager was extremely polite and accommodating.
