Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and a lovely comfortable bed. We were greeted by Ben who couldn’t do enough for us and was clearly enjoying his job. Breakfast was absolutely perfect 10/10
Stayed at the George Hotel for 2 consecutive nights, it was unbelievably cold in the rooms. I politely asked for the heating to be turned on in the three separate rooms which my family and I were staying in and despite reassurance from staff members that this would be resolved promptly - it never was. Room decor, food and general service were dismal. On top of all that, once I returned home I received a £170 parking fine for not registering my vehicle with the hotel car park - I was never asked or warned about this during check in/check out. Absolutely appalled to say the least.
Ben did a great job ensuring we had what we needed. Food was hot and tasty! Even even with the horrible weather outside, the festive decorations and warm interior were just what we needed.
After a walk , we went to the George for lunch. Excellent friendly service. A good verity of food and drinks , reasonably priced . Food presented well and tastes good. Very comfortable surroundings. The staff are very attentive and helpful. I Think the hotel reference in the name could be dropped to B&B. I have not stayed over night but possibly will in the future. We will definitely be returning to eat Thankyou Have a great Christmas.
What a warm welcome from Doug and Ben @ The George Hotel in Hayfield! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the following morning, after a hearty breakfast, we could not have been looked after any better. The food, the drink, the atmosphere, the rooms were all great. My boys were super impressed too, especially with Ben's football knowledge! Thanks for a great stay and hope to revisit soon.
