Visited here today after a long walk in the countryside around Brailes. The staff were lovely and welcoming. We ordered various sandwiches which came with fries we chose sweet potato versions which were cooked to perfection. The sandwiches themselves were delicious containing loads of chicken which I presume was freshly cooked and very tasty. We all agreed they were some of the best we'd had in the many pubs we'd visited. Our order did take about half an hour but there were eight of us ordering a few different sandwiches and they were obviously freshly cooked to order. Would definitely recommend.
The food we ordered were all lovely. We did not stay there, we just met our friends who stayed overnight. Friendly staff.
Excellent food, welcoming staff and a play area and trampoline in the garden our kids loved. Sunday roast is particularly good, my wife rated the cauliflower cheese which is high praise. The kids ice cream cows was a fab surprise.
A nice little find Our room was very nice, very clean. The bed was comfy. A nice little pub area and a pool table in the back. Dinner was good we had the three dish menu good value for money. A nice selection of beer at the bar. Met a few of the locals, nice chatty people. A big garden area which one of the locals takes care off. The landlady and bar staff were very friendly, welcoming and engaged in conversation. Breakfast was really good Will recommend and will stay here again.
Just returned from the most wonderful 2 days at The George .. We booked our wedding here and married at the church over the road.. Tracey and the team couldn't have made our special time more perfect.. we stayed here with family who had travelled to be with us ..all the rooms were perfect with everything we needed.. extremely comfortable beds lovely and clean. Breakfast was fabulous with a proper full English, cereal, and delicious fresh pastries available. We also had our reception for 50 people here with buffet and disco provided. Everything was perfect, and as we had discussed in advance. The whole team here truly went above and beyond to make everything exactly how we wanted, and everyone who attended thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality on offer and all hope to return at some point. Big thanks to all of you who worked really hard to make everything just perfect x
