Everything was of poor condition table, chairs, carpets. needs to be replaced and what didn’t need replacing needed cleaning there was a balcony you could see from the window the ashtray was full the floor was filthy our room was ok but the bathroom floor was not clean we didn’t use anything in the kitchen the breakfast consisted of a sausage one piece of bacon 4 button mushrooms egg small pot of beans slice of toast we paid £100 for one night there was a small car park part of seven valley railway if this was full you would have struggled to find a car park I had a small packet of crisp £1.50 what a rip off we had three drinks all the same but was charged different each time when I checked bank statement management please take note could be a nice place but needs work doing NOW we won’t be staying again
Nice hotel close to the old railway station and not far away from the centre of Bridgnorth. Friendly staff, traditional English breakfast, a wide range of tapped beers and ales. Recommendable Hotel with fair rates.
Very busy, live music on, we were found a table and 4 chairs outside even though the pub was rammed. Still were able to get served quickly by very friendly staff, great atmosphere. Top pub & Inn as there are en -suite room to stay in.
The worst experience we’ve ever had… We stayed 2 nights here. When we arrived at the hotel at 1pm, it was closed. Immediately we had reservations. When we checked in my room had not been cleaned - the balcony had dirty used cigarettes on and a used lighter - disgusting. Made us wonder what else had not been cleaned. Trying to find someone to speak to was impossible - the bar was deserted or they said they’d come check - no one did. We had to order breakfast the night before. The next morning we came downstairs to a deserted hotel and a mini fridge, no butter, no orange juice, no pastries - and dirty cups and saucers. The full English breakfast had the cheapest, smallest sausage I’ve ever had - you couldn’t even cut into it without force - (day 2 we saw a kid crying at breakfast as he couldn’t cut his chipolata). The tomato was from chopped tinned tomatoes - I could’ve cried. Whilst this is happening you have a 7 year old running around screaming; the mum was in the kitchen. And when the kid is quiet the woman in the kitchen is on the phone complaining about the pub saying ‘only me and you do the hard work, everyone else takes the pi**!). Sitting next to the kitchen it wasn’t exactly hard to hear. The rooms were not made up between day one and day two. We came back to unmade rooms and still the cigarettes on the balcony. My mum’s tv didn’t work, a lady came to the room to try and fix it on day 1, she couldn’t, said someone would come day 2 - they didn’t. We asked in case it was broken - we were told no one came. Breakfast the next day was more shouting from the woman who brings her kid to work and lets him run around without any discipline, except when he was eventually given a jumbo Magnum ice cream at 9am. We left a a dirty, run down, uncared for hotel, with staff who (from the conversations we heard) clearly have issues with working there and we were happy to leave. I said there were issues but they weren’t taken seriously. We’ve stayed in many hotels before and do research beforehand but this must be the dirtiest, unfriendliest, lowest room/food quality hotel with frustrated staff we’ve ever been in. Avoid.
Took 15 minutes for staff to actually greet me. I found out on the day that they don't serve breakfast until 8:30 which is way too late for business travellers. There was no parking available so you had to pay extra. The Room was hot and quite a bit of visible mould in the bathroom. I had to leave around 07:45 so wasn't able to have breakfast and there was no one there to checkout and give the key back to. Not a great experience
