We went to the Hermit for Sunday lunch with friends. We had one Roast Beef and 3 of the Porchetta (as recommended to us) they were all incredible. Really good quality meat and you could tell it was all prepared fresh. We had two little ones with us and the staff were all brilliant with them bringing us side plates etc. The desserts were out of this world! Would highly recommend the Brownie - the best I’ve ever eaten.
Went with my wife on Saturday after a lovely walk. Service was impeccable, food came quickly, was piping hot and delicious. We both had the Korean chicken burger. The other food we saw coming out looked great too. Would 100% recommend. Other pubs could learn a thing or two from this place.
Astonishingly good! I don't have a generally great opinion of pub food because it can often over promise and undeliver as part of large chains. This one is very different. It is community owned and situated on the edge of Baildon Moor in a stunning location. Service was excellent. A large team of young staff working effectively. The food wow. I had a steak pie with greens and fries. The pie was huge- look at the photo. Crispy top and large pieces of slow cooked steak in a beautifully seasoned sauce. My wife had fishcakes which she said was equally as great. Truly amazed at the quality and reasonably priced. HIGHLY recommend it. WILL be returning.
Another lovely evening at The Hermit. We were really lucky to be served by Molly again. She was so efficient and helpful. The food was all delicious. Korean chicken burger (I ordered without the bun) was spicy and fresh, the mushrooms with truffle special was a really good portion and really tasty, the smash burger and the meaty hermit pizza were both great too. The pub was packed. Really buzzy. Lovely to see a country pub, that was my local growing up, making such a success of things!
Just had the Thai Noodle Salad for lunch and it was beautiful. Fresh, full of flavour and lighter than the usual pub grub… and plenty of it!! The waiting team were attentive and always made sure I had a full drink at the table. Great pub. Great food. Great atmosphere.
