Ordered 3 Sunday lunches. No chicken or turkey on the menu. The lamb was very fatty and overcooked however cold when arriving at the table. The roast potatoes were half of a jacket potato that looked like it had been forgotten about from last week’s service. The roast vegetables were a mix of being undercooked at one end of a carrot and burnt at the other. The broccoli was cold and undercooked. The mash potato was lumpy and tasted like a cheap butter alternative. The Yorkshire pudding was an Aunt Bessie’s finest which was subpar at best. And to top it all off the entire plate was covered in a gravy that was too salty, too thin and spicy (possibly what was meant to be a touch of Tabasco that turned out to be the entire bottle). All in all a poor excuse of a Sunday dinner for the “cheap” price of £13.99. The only upside was that it was 20% off Sunday lunches, it would be just as easy to walk out without paying as the staff only came to the table when prompted by ourselves. However if you like a glass of Tap water, this pub is a solid option as long as you don’t mind a dirty glass.

This is a really lovely pub. Open fire, bright and cheerful staff and comfortable seating. Reasonable prices and a great choice of drinks. It's decorated tastefully for Christmas. The food is simple and very well cooked, tastey and fresh. We had spaghetti with meatballs, a toad in the hole and a fish and chips and not a single complaint other than the pasta sauce was slightly too sweet for our taste. The fish was fresh and the sausages very tasty. With 2 rounds of mostly soft drinks the bill was just £60 for four. It made a great mud week tea and we will certainly go back. Their pies look fabulous, their pizzas are stonebaked and the traditional puddings are on our list for next time!

Great little traditional pub. Very comfortable. New landlord and landlady who made us feel very welcome. Can't wait to try their new, exciting, affordable, traditional pub grub. They have lots of exciting plans ahead to entice and welcome customers old and new into this lovely place.

We have been here several times and never been disappointed. Everybody Is always ultra friendly. The food is very good value for money and very good quality.

Great food and a fantastic welcome from Nasr (the new landlord & Chef). Our group of seven adults with two infants and a dog descended on Nasr at 12:30 p.m. unannounced! Despite being on his own in the kitchen with just one barmaid we received all our meals together and in a very reasonable time. The food was fresh and tasty. I highly recommend a visit.
