This is a friendly and unpretentious, corner site backstreet pub, popular with the local community. The pub sign is a fairly plain affair that just says “The Nap”. Inside it’s carpeted throughout, with banquettes, metal framed tables and small stools providing the main furnishings, but of course with the obligatory tall stools at the bar. Rather unusually, there’s a bit of matchboard half-height wooden screening in the middle of the room that serves to screen off some of the seating from the main bar area. There are TVs; a dartboard near the corner door; a small garden at the back and a few benches outside at the front, plus free wi-fi advertised.

Great little local battle cruiser with fab sunday roasts and a much needed newly introduced weekday food menu. Very dog friendly large outdoor space with its own snug too! All the sports ,quiz nights bands karaoke etc. Great staff too and very prompt except the half blind half deaf one who makes up for it by being hilarious and leading the line in karaoke, the pubs spiritual leader Tat!! Proper local bring ya kids and hounds for sunday lunch!!😃👌👍💯
Fantastic atmosphere staff really friendly and welcoming Sunday roast as good as your get anywhere else no skimping on the food will definitely be going back and would recommend a visit to anyone
Genuinely a little gem. I was told by a friend about this wonderful pub. The owner is an absolute legend and always shares really interesting stories! Staff are superb as well. This is my new favourite place :)
Juke box, dart board, friendly staff. Neighbourhood pub. I had fun. Only food was scotch eggs😏 Teresa from Canada!
Stumbled across this local delight by chance. A lovely evening of Guinness and karaoke ensued. Staff and locals were all very welcoming. Highly recommended.
