The pub was newly refurbished during March and has been open under new management since the beginning of April 2014.
Home cooked, freshly prepared meals are available from 12 - 3 and 5 - 8 Monday to Thursday, all day Saturday and Sunday, along with weekly 'Specials'.
Functions such as Christenings and Funerals and small private parties can be catered for. Entertainment includes a weekly Quiz night each Thursday from 8.30, Open Mic night each Wednesday from 8pm, Karaoke alternate Saturdays and live entertainment on occasions.
There is a beer garden and disabled access, friendly staff and a warm welcome.

Been in here a few times and the food is lovely. The chips are huge and ridiculously tasty, and their soup of the day is always perfect. The staff are really nice and approachable, and the times that we have been in during the early afternoon on a weekday have been really quiet, only a handful of people about inside which is perfect for myself as I don’t like crowds and loud noises!
We ordered their mixed grill, it was good, maybe there's some room for improvement. Nice staff and atmosphere though. Good parking space on the side.
2nd trip, still as awesome as ever! Awesome staff, good range of beers and very good value food. What's not to love?! The steak for £10 was fantastic, highly recommend!!!
It was the first time we had been to the Gardeners Arms for a long time, we were amazed at what had been done, and the food and service were excellent and we had a bonus because it had a stake deal on a Thursday. Also we would like to say a exstra praise 👏 to the Shef ,we are now putting it down to our new place to go
The food is sensational I ordered the king prawn scampi chips and mushy peas extremely fresh and full of flavour the food was delightful and the staff were great too. Very impressed thanks. All the food was good but these chips were something else kudos to the chef
