Set in the village of Y Felinheli on the banks of the beautiful Menai Straits, The Garddfon is a wonderful example of a traditional Welsh community pub.
Blending the warm welcome of a local pub with delicious food and excellent service, this historic Inn has been welcoming guests for over 200 years. The great atmosphere gets people returning time and time again; we are all very proud of this historic pub.
The Garddfon is a perfect place to visit for a week, a weekend away or simply to enjoy a meal or a drink. The Lounge bar has beamed ceilings leading through rambling rooms with interesting nooks and crannies, whereas the public bar has large screen TV etc.
Fine real ales and wines are enjoyed in our bistro where and the food is plentiful and of excellent quality without straining the purse.

Great food. We ate here twice on a 4 night break in the village. Staff were friendly and helpful. A very popular pub with a games corner where we discovered how to play UNO. Overlooks the estuary. We went a week before Christmas. Had a great time.
Four of us work colleagues for after work meal, we had a warm welcome, great selection to choose from the menu, we each had something different, all delicious and well presented. Great service we felt well looked after. Highly recommend. Good job everyone. I’ll be returning soon.
Managed to get a table on a Sunday afternoon at 4.30pm. Lovely warm friendly pub. Had a small sunday menu (unfortunately no vegan/vegetarian option) I had the roast beef and my 2 friends had the roast turkey and EVERY single bite was amazing. ALL home cooked food, it was the best roast dinner I've had.
Highly recommended. We had Sunday lunch for 4 adults and one child. The food was absolutely fabulous. I would especially say that the roast beef dinner is well worth ordering. All of the staff were polite, courteous and friendly. I highly recommend this pub / restaurant
Had a great meal on Thursday, many thanks to the chef who cooked for us even though he was due to close the kitchen for the afternoon break! We really appreciated that. The food is superb and in a stunning location, that's why we keep on coming back.
