Supposed to a nice getaway for myself and the Mrs. All in all the evening meal was the highlight. Everything was poor. Room very dated not clean needed TLC. Garden view of a car park which we paid £30 extra for. No lift stairs are very steep. Spa walking area is very slippery even with non slip mats down. Jacuzzi was cool and Pool was cold. Breakfast was a greasy mess. Everything is fried in grease. Continental options are limited. For a hotel which bills it's room as luxurious it's a joke. Never going back.

We did a mini break to the Oaks in Burnley last year from the same chain so wanted to compare. This hotel is smaller and a less impressive building with smaller bedrooms too but it has the better location with pleasant woodland walks right outside (if you don't mind hills) and an easy walk into Ramsbottom. The bar and restaurant are one room here but it is pleasant with comfortable sofas for after dinner drinks. The all inclusive menu was different from the Oaks but the food and choice were equally good and the service was fantastic. The staff are super helpful and friendly in both hotels. The all inclusive drinks are better here because they don't force you to have a mixer with every drink and insist on mixing it for you. I found that a bit annoying at the Oaks. The gym here is very dated and some of the equipment old and rusty. Definitely a better gym at the Oaks. I also preferred the pool at the Oaks but this one was ok; just a little tired and a bit too cold. Oaks also has a bigger sauna and two hot tubs. Both hotels have their strengths and are excellent value for money. I definitely hope to visit both again.

We stayed over for Christmas. We have stayed before on numerous occasions but this was our first time for Christmas. The staff are fantastic. The rooms are spotless. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Christmas lunch was brilliant and the service was too. Here's a big shout for the staff serving the breakfasts, you are all doing an amazing job. Keep it up, we're sure you will. Thanks for the lovely time. All the best to you all.

Me and my friend stayed for the all inclusive and I must say we were impressed overall. The room was a upgrade room with a view unfortunately it was very small and in need of a upgrade that's the only negative. The service was impeccable and the food was very nice no faults. I must give feedback on the service and the way we were made so comfortable and looked after Emily, Holly,Rob and Alex you should be recognised for the best service I can say I have had you are all amazing and even more so that both girls travel by public transport hours to get to work and do it with a smile. We thank you all and will most definitely be back

My wife and I stayed at the Old Mill for a 3 night all-inclusive break. The food was excellent. Breakfast staff were very welcoming and highly efficient. Thanks Zoe! Evening staff took a while to warm up, as did the restaurant. It was very cool in there. Our room was fine, although one bed wasn't very comfortable. The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk into Ramsbottom where there's plenty to see and fast buses to Manchester. Overall, it was close to 5 star and we fully intend to return one day.
