Food was lovely, we had to wait for the table we had book so got a drink at bar. Barman took payment for food without asking us which didn’t worry us but when we were taken to our table, the waitress was very rude about it, she also told another member of staff and pointing at us, she said well don’t be surprised if people keeping trying to sit in your seat. A small not at booking station would have stopped any problem.

Great food and friendly, attentive staff. We had three courses but were so stuffed by the off the main that our waitress kindly boxed it up for us to take home. Will definitely go back!

Wow. Not been to a Toby Carvery for about 30 years, until my son started saying he’d like to try it as all his mates are talking about it at school. So we surprised him and took him for Sunday lunch. He was genuinely gobsmacked by the quantity of food you get for the price. He’s a 15 year old eating machine at the moment, so we challenged each other to go king sized. He had Gammon, Beef and Pork, 2 Yorkshire puddings, about 12 roast potatoes and all the veg. I had Lamb, Beef and Pork, 2 Yorkshire pudding’s, a small amount of roast potatoes and lots of veg. The food was good, not the tastiest I’ve had but for the price and quantity, was great value. Service was great, basically the take a drink order and point you to the buffet counter. You can have as much veg and potatoes as you like, so not lots of service to be provided, but it was still good Was all good though, so recommend it, especially if you have a teenage eating machine 😀

Lovely breakfast here last week, usual Toby fayre, well cooked, eggs fresh, staff pleasant. Tip: Get less and go back for more - the plates are not always very warm so best to get the food fresh. The trouble with a Toby is which to choose - the buffet breakfast or the carvery. Both in a day is too much.

Great carvery! We have not eaten in a Toby Carvery for years as the one near where we live is terrible. However we stopped off at Swindon on our way back to Wales and it was delicious. All the food seemed very fresh, great taste, service was great from the staff. Was extremely busy in there though, which was fine we managed to sit in the bar and eat. Only downside I would say is the gravy was quite watery, other than that great!
