The Freewheel is a pub and cycling cafe situated in the heart of Kent’s idyllic landscape. We are ideally placed between the North Downs and the Kent coast in the village of Graveney.
Our kitchen is open all day long and stocked with locally sourced, delicious produce to cater for every taste. We offer lunches, coffee and cake, cycling group buffets and picnics – there is something for everyone at the Freewheel.
Whether you want to pop in for a pint of local ale or have a well earned pit-stop in our cycling cafe, a warm welcome always awaits you.
Our cafe is receiving great reviews and we are delighted to see many regular faces as well as new visitors coming into the cafe daily. Had a Sunday roast dinner delivery today we would like to say it was delicious and look forward to many more thanks.
Best carvery I've ever had in my life! We eat out alot and I've always sworn you can't get a better roast than my own mums roast but my god the food here is amazing is proper home cooked comfort food!! I'm sat here thinking about it now especially the cauli cheese & the gravy 😋 Also they were so family friendly which is lovely as I do get anxious taking my toddlers out to resteraunts but all the staff were so cheerful and nice! We will definitely be coming back, worth the 30 minute drive from our house 100%!
I've just experienced the nicest Sunday lunch I've had in many years, we go out most Sunday's and sample local restaurants and pubs and even michelin star establishments and this tops the lot. A warm and friendly family welcome with such super friendly attentive staff that really make the experienced extra special, great beer and the desserts are delicious although it was a push to squeeze it in due to me filling up my plate with so many fresh and delicious vegtables and roast potatoes I'm glad I did. I've never had delicious cauliflower cheese too. The gravy was also like nothing I've had before and would love to know that family recipe. All in all a great place to eat and I can't wait to go back again. Thanks to a the staff for a lovely afternoon.

Myself and my friends were on a weekend get away together and was recommended this family run pub. We had such a lovely afternoon, the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and the carvery was just so tasty. Even though we were completely full from our meal we couldn’t resist the deserts which were good old family favourites. We had one of each and just passed them round and we weren’t disappointed. Big thank you to Lisa who looked after us and made an amazing Calipso 😂 thank you for a memorable afternoon.
