Built around 1864, The Foxglove was originally known as the Railway Junction Inn, due to the anticipation of a proposal in 1864 to construct a railway extension from Barnsley to a junction with the London and North West Railway. During the 1930's the inn was known as The Three Owls. In 2000 it became The Foxglove.

Lovely pub in a great location. Log fires and exceptional service. Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat but what a lovely feeling the pub has.
Iād like to add to my review 21/12/23ā¦ part of 10, all enjoyed festive menu. Staff are amazing. We love the foxglove š The venue is very warm and homely. Staff are really very pleasant.. Food was fabulous.
Stayed here for a family birthday locally. The room was better than expected. Clean and comfy. There was some bathroom fan noise from adjacent rooms but the timer is short. We did sleep just fine though. We tried some bar food which was excellent and the staff were pleasant and very helpful. There was plenty of room in the car park and you can park near the rooms.
From stepping in to leaving every member of staff we encountered were polite, friendly, helpful and mostly efficient. The food was excellent quality and flavourful and the portions were generous. Took a little while to receive all the drink order but to be fair it was busy. Overall, our experience was excellent and the pub has a lovely atmosphere.
Superb stay for our anniversary, excellent food if a little expensive, superb atmosphere. The rooms are clean and comfortable but a little tired, not a problem as we expect they will be refurbished. The pub is excellent. The staff are great, very helpful and friendly. Great parking. Will definitely be back.
