About us

The Pakenham Fox is a traditional country pub set in the heart of Suffolk. A Suffolk flint building dating back to the late 1700s or early 1800s,

the pub has been sympathetically restored in recent years and takes pride of place in the center of the village next to Pakenham Stream - which eventually feeds the river Blackbourne.

The Fox is a privately owned Free House, it offers a range of local real ales, spirits and ciders, alongside recognisable global and national brands, with a selection of over 35 gins, an extensive wine list from new and old world producers, six hand pulls, and 5 other taps, coupled with both traditional pub food and occasionally something a little different.

We run quiz nights, open mic and acoustic nights, live music and plenty of other events on an ad hoc basis.

With a cosy bar area, two restaurant areas and a snug, inside the pub offers plenty of comfortable areas to enjoy our drinks and food, and our amazing garden creates a stunning space to enjoy drinks in the

warmer months.

Nice food at a good price and the atmosphere was decent, the only mistake we made was sitting next to the door that people were in and out of. Also just go and sit down at a table as we were standing there like a couple of lemons waiting to be seated.

Lovely Pub to stop for lunch on a Saturday bike ride, huge range of ciders (good beers too). Loved sitting out in the September sun in their garden, sipping our cider and snacking on their nachos.

Brilliant restaurant. I enjoyed the ambience. The young ladies Lizzie and Meghan were very polite smiled and gave good service to our table. The menu gives good choice so for most people they will find something that they like. My haddock was really cooked to perfection the triple cooked fries were overcooked, this didn't detract from our enjoyment of a really wonderful experience Thank you Fred Finn Guinness World Records 718 Flights in Concorde 15 million miles World's Most Travelled Person

A wonderful pub, especially if your kids like plenty of space to run around. Absolutely wonder Sunday roasts. Highly recommended for more reasons than I can list here.

Went on a very busy cold Friday night. Lovely to see so many people enjoying fish and chips which was lush. Will definitely be returning midweek or on a Sunday to try out the other menus. Everything was presented really well ... even our after dinner cups of tea. Highly recommended. P.s. try the onion rings ... you will not be disappointed!
