The original Fox & Hounds was built in 1728. The Loft Bar and Coffee Bar was added in 2008.
It’s a traditional village pub serving a selection of local cask ales and also guest ales and a wide range of fine Wines and Champagne as well as delicious home cooked food. Take a look at our food and drinks menu for all your desires. Please note that last orders are at 7.45pm Mon - Sat and 5.45pm Sundays.
Fox & Hounds is a friendly and welcoming pub with a spacious beer garden at the rear of the property to enjoy those hot, summer days and open fires to warm those chilly nights.

Fabulous food. Typically English dishes and very good quality. Staff very friendly. We had the Beef Stew and the Venison. It was that nice we shared half each of each meal.
A really nice country pub. A friend and I just called for a quick pint and a catch up. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Beer selection was not the best, but the entertainment made up for it. We parked at the rear and entered through a UPVC door to what we found was a private event. I was about to ask the bar staff where the actual pub entrance was, when some stuck up woman marched over demanding to know who we were and telling us to leave immediately. It was quite entertaining to be honest. But she didn't see the funny side and had a face like she was chewing a wasp😄. Luckily another party goer directed us to the correct door. Beware of the entitled middle aged woman, she may bite...
Gorgeous place, staff brilliant, there kitchen was shut but fantastic staff they cooked for us xx
Great venue, a little on the more expensive side but honestly worth it for the general atmosphere and fresh tasting food. Staff were kind aswell. Got a pint of Moretti and a fish pie. Food was delicious, and tasted home-made, food was also piping hot.
The food was homemade and we enjoyed it a lot. A little pricy but it was worth it. The place was a little drafty and we would have loved it if the stove was on. It had some really nice touches, like the fresh flowers on the tables. The staff was very polite and kind as well. Overall, it's a lovely place that you need to visit. You won't regret it! We will be coming back soon.
