Sunday Lunch arrived at The Fox at 13:30, waited 1hr to order food. Starters wasn’t an issue but main course didn’t arrive until 15:50, we asked several times why the wait as other tables were arriving and eating and were told only 2 chefs. But really not good enough, when food did arrive I had lamb and the portion was tiny ( but I did mention this and they display more) and also my wife had the sea bass which had 1 very small fillet. We have been here several times before but won’t be rushing back.
Beautiful pub in a gorgeous location. Portion sizes were bigger than expected, the quality was exactly as expected - superb! A hidden gem, would highly recommend.
Delicious food. Service lets it down. Staff are nice and polite but further training needed as they are busy and you quickly get forgotten. Starters came quickly and mains but had to wait over an hour for them to take away the dishes despite being asked 4 times if we can order desert and needed the plates taken away. This place could be phenomenal if they just had a bit more care for their customers. It’s unpleasant waiting around for an hour + for a simple task of taking away dishes
This month's 12/12 pre birthday meal was a visit to #thefox @thefox down in St brides Major, owned by Mr Gavin Henson... we had the absolute pleasure of being accompanied by Jackie, Ang, Stuart and Steve for this one and what a great night out it was, thank you x.... Ok back to business.... the food as you can see from the pictures looks fantastic and tasted even better, very tasty, did not have to wait very long for each course, value for money oh god yeah, in all fairness it was excellent... Service was great too, in fact the whole experience was very very good... I would highly recommend a visit, it's clean, tidy and just a really pleasant experience... do yourselves a favour pop in for a cold one and some proper tasty food....
Fantastic evening meal. We’ve wanted to try The Fox since moving and celebrated a family birthday there on a Friday. Loved the decor, the atmosphere and staff were lovely. One of the items on the menu was unavailable but the food was amazing and good value for money. The drinks were also on point. Will be back!
