We welcome you to the Four Bells Inn, Woodborough. Situated just a stone’s throw away from the city centre, idyllic Woodborough is a beautiful village in the middle of the countryside. Woodborough offers some great walks through the local villages of Calverton, Lambley & Epperstone.

The Four Bells is a family friendly pub built in Tudor style in the 1930’s.

It’s had many landlords and landlady’s over the years and now Craig & Gaynor Smith at the helm and have ran the pub since October 2010. With over 20 years of experience, they have bought a fresh, vibrant menu, great service and friendly atmosphere to this great venue. You can expect to see one of the three kids running around or working! Tyler, Jay & Tallulah!

We have some great facilities that cater for all types of people, a great garden with children’s play area, outside BBQ, separate areas for dining or private use. As the weather drops, we’ve got a great Wood Burning Stove to warm your cockles!

Roast beef was so tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch. Great pub, lovely environment, dog friendly too. We loved it. The sticky toffee pudding was also a really good portion! Yummy. I’d recommend!

Great food and cask ales. Had the French Cheese and Onion Melted Sandwich (can't remember the exact name) and it was amazing. Cask ales are pretty damn good and always worth a pint (or more if you aren't driving)

Beautiful Traditional Pub in Woodborough Village... Had the Nut Brown, which was a very nice pint. For food, my wife and I had the Trio of Meat Sunday Roast, which was excellent . Staff were polite and attentive ... Would definitely recommend 👌 Finally the log burner was a welcome touch on a cold winter's day...

This pub sits in a pretty village however, sadly it keeps changing managers/owners and the food doesn’t seem to be the same standard/quality as nearby rivals. The fish finger sandwich came on what looked like ‘50 50’ thin sliced packet bread 🤦🏼‍♀️ and sat by its side was some thinly sliced lettuce drizzled in a nice tasting vinaigrette. I’m not sure if they were low on salad materials as my sons main meal was a Caesar Salad, not lacking in bacon or chicken but certainly lacking in salad. Both the fish finger sandwich and the Ceasar salad weren’t cheap either, so very disappointing When we go for a meal the look of the food and first impressions last. The Fox and Hound in Blidworth do a fantastic fish finger baguette and made this one I had here look like a child had made it. We were glad we ordered the side of tapas as these made up for the other things.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere! Been here a few times just for drinks and sat outside. Tonight we went for dinner and wow, i dont think i have ever tasted anything better anywhere else iv eaten at! Literally was every mouthful was amazing! Staff are lovely and always polite and cant do enough do for you. Had live music too! Honestly the atmosphere here was great, were not from the village but felt like part of the community. See you soon!
