Great little pub. Service was excellent.
Have enjoyed many of the carvery Sunday roast in the Folly Upstairs and so was happy to book for a Sunday roast downstairs in the absence of service Upstairs. Very disappointed. Food was way off the quality of carvery and instead of an excellent choice of up to 5 vegetables were served with peas and carrots frozen mix. Yorkshire puddings were burnt on top. Definitely not up to usual standard.
Lovely quiet place - until we sat down in the "naughty corner"......staff very attentive and friendly and our food was delicious. Definitely going back asap!!!
Food tasted good it just wasn’t what was described on the menu which was a little disappointing. This was meant to Pancakes with berry compote and chantilly cream. Staff were all lovely though and the environment was really nice.
My wife and I stopped here for some lunch while in the area last Sunday and it was superb, the staff were lovely and welcoming and the service was great. The food was incredible and we went away very satisfied. I would definitely go back again.
