Flying Horse hosted my mum's wake today, the buffet was very good for the reasonable price we paid, we had our own room, and after an hour I asked if we could control the music that was playing, once we were told "just tell alexa" we played music mum liked, I could see through to other bar and actually wondered which side was having a wake, our side had better music, just my opinion and we definitely had more laughter. Well done flying horse. My mum always called you the "dying horse"
Very much "as you'd expect". Pretty decent beer selection at a fair price. Rear garden is a big space if not a bit unloved.
Good pub indeed excellent staff very friendly Indeed all circumstances aside they try their best totally considering the pub and facilities need updating future reference try not to charge for a burger single in a bun for £5 expensive????? Not value for money cheers
The Family Fun Day in the pub garden was great. BBQ, stalls, raffle, bouncy castle. Live music too, plus ice cream. They have two climbing frames, another climbing frame with a slide and two swings.
I think calling this place a dive is a bit of an understatement. You walk in and all you can smell is mold and mildew. It's in a desperate need of a restoration. ~20 inch monitor to watch sports on, so pretty useless. Car park will fit about 7 or 8 cars, no where near enough considering the size of this place.
