The Flowerpot is a landmark Real Ale pub and nationally recognised live music venue, located in the heart of the city's Cathedral Quarter. We welcome you to the music venue at weekends, to the laid back midweek acoustic gigs, and to sample Bhim's delicious authentic Gurkha Curries on a Tuesday night.
A public house that has live music and some rooms. Good choice of local ales and reasonable prices. Hotel nearby, Leonardo with usual pricey food and drink, but does offer a 20% discount for parking at a decent multi storey carpark 5 minutes walk away.
Always a great place for live music, we went to see Nine Below Zero, who were excellent... very busy pub but worth it...live bands on every weekend with a diverse range of music... definitely worth a visit...
Sound place for a quiet drink in week and bar staff are friendly. The curry night looked nice however I didn't order food. Good selection of ales and been recommended to come back when a band is on.
Third time here, came to see a Rolling Stones tribute,,,, they were great, the venue is a very popular and well known for 'live music', using a large air conditioned back room for the gig's, it's very small in comparison to larger more expensive venues, with low ceilings it creates a brilliant atmosphere... Selling a choice of soft drinks, beers, ciders, cask ales and spirits plus snacks... Definitely a place to enjoy your favourite 🎶 music 🎶 thank you FLOWERPOT.
A lovely spot, conveniently located for parking and local amenities. The room was clean, simple and functional. The host was very helpful and friendly, and as a bonus as shared kitchen and breakfast not mentioned in the description was also included. Thank you to our wonderful host. Our needs were very simple and this was absolutely perfect for us. There was no rush to leave and we were able to look around locally before checking out. A basic room that is value for money and highly recommended.
