Fjara provides a welcome escape from a hectic day at work, or a place to take the family and relax. Families, food lovers and drink aficionados are all very welcome in Lerwick's exclusive new cosy spot.
Set on the small peninsula of land jutting out into Brewick bay, Fjara has amazing views for you to enjoy in all weathers and at all times of the day. It is a great wild life spot with plenty of opportunity to spot seals and otters in the surrounding area.
With a simple but effective menu, which changes seasonally, Fjara aims to bring different taste and cuisines to Shetland, getting the most from seasonal fruit and vegetables. All our baked goods are freshly made every morning on site, from our fantastic cheese and bacon bloomer to our sweet blueberry pancakes.

Went for a meal with my son. It was very nice nice. I had a Christmas dinner, and my son had a beef burger. Both were very tasty
Delicious food with a view to match. The seafood stew was amazing and probably enough as a main! The staff were attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The cakes looked fabulous, but I was too full of burger to get one in. Really top notch stuff. I watched the bay turn from day to night in this cosy place and enjoyed every second of it.
Delicious gluten free monkfish scampi with chips and salad. Highly recommend. Very busy so best to reserve a table. Unfortunately we didn't get a window table as just the two of us but still had a view. Staff lovely.
Brilliant service 👏, lovely food, especially the hunters chicken 🐔 😋 with great views.
Great for breakfast lunch and dinner. Great coffee, great scones, great breakfast and french roast and the monk fish scampi and Shetland fish pie can't be missed. All with a fantastic view.
