Had a late lunch of steak pie with triple fried chips, was extremely satisfying and delicious. Staff were very friendly as was the vibe leading from afternoon to evening. Super being part of a lively crowd filled with plenty background noise. Super time all in. 😊🍷

Clean, well cared for and recently renovated room on second floor. Quieter than down stairs which was a happy environment of regulars and visitors enjoying an amazing variety of food in a lovely sea related environment. Seeing all the paraphernalia made this old sea dog very happy. Wait staff were well run off their feet yet amazingly friendly. A mistake on my companion order was easily and readily rectified. Manager very approachable and sincere in making sure our stay was exactly as it should be.

Was exactly what we needed, the service was amazing, with the waitresses and waiters being exceptionally friendly and helpful. The food was tasty, the fisherman’s burger and salt and pepper squid being both absolutely outstanding and full of flavour! We also got the seafood risotto and haggis fritters which were both lovely. Extremely good value for money, would definitely recommend and will certainly be back if we pass through Dundee.

Fantastic place and service. I live in central Dundee and decided to have a day off in Broughty Ferry. Before leaving I stopped here and all tables were busy, but staff were friendly and helpful and managed to sit me in a table that would be in use some time later. Their recommendation was brilliant — I had the steak and ale pie and I this was so tasty, so filling, so different to other pubs’ pies too. The wine gravy and the grilled cabbage were delicious. EXCELLENT. Also, very nice atmosphere and pet friendly!

We were on a nice walk in the sun and decided to pop in. Kitchen was over capacity so staff said they would come and take our order in 20 minutes which they did. Food is above normal pub grub menu level I would say and when it came it was excellent. Service was great too and couldn't believe the price when the bill arrived. 2 starters, 2 mains and 4 soft drinks and we were only £38 for restaurant quality grub. Definitely be back soon.
