Just finished our stay at Fisherman’s Cot! It was lovely! Chelsea and Sally were both absolutely fabulous and couldn’t have done a better job at making us feel welcome. The food was delicious and we felt very relaxed. The atmosphere and views of the river are delightful! The only downside was accommodation for the disabled. My mum is 91 and a wheelchair user. We had to get her up the stairs for a twin room and a shower. There are rooms downstairs, but they all had baths. If you are staying and have a disability apparently room 20 is the one to ask for! We would definitely come again, but please managers, can there be more accommodation for the disabled? Thank you!
Had a lovely evening meal at the Fishermans cot for our 15th Wedding Anniversary. Great service , great food and a beautiful location.
Hidden gem, totally lovely, staff really friendly. Blue light card discount can be used, lovely food. Lovely room. Bridge over troubledwater stunning.
It's a gorgeous pub built on the river bank overlooking the old bridge. It's a beautiful view. The only thing that lets this pub down is the food. The food is very expensive (nearly all meals are £15.00+) and it's not even that tasty. In addition, the selection of food is so small. Definitely some work that needs doing on the menu.
Idea was to stop and have dinner and couple of drinks. Had a couple of real ales, both not to my liking. Was welcome by Gentleman who come across, not wanted to be there. I ask what Real ales they sold, he could only remember one out of the two, he asked if we had a reservation as if we would not get a table without, then walked us to a table where many were empty and just said order at the bar. All other staff were nice, the place looks well decorated and sits right on the river so lovely location. Would recommend a visit and hope you enjoy it.
