Good local boozer, with a decent range of beers.
It was OK.. probably better when its full .. Apart from the local village idiot.. That got his phone out to play . " Go on home british soldiers go on home .." as loud as his phone would let him. I think he was looking at me cos there was only 3 or 4 in the bar .. Of course if the halfwit had actually spoken to me , he would have discovered that I'm irish .. And his music is well known here .. by the WolfTones from Dublin .. Yeah he was the only annoying person I met in Scotland . Then he went over the road cos that bar had Union Jack flags up . So they probably support Rangers . . Although I couldn't really blame the barmaid.. but ..yeah it does bug some people .. which of course is his goal . We don't even do that to the British over here .. I think he needs to be updated ..like software .. Spoiled it a bit .. but hey ..if that's all a found , I'd still give them 100%
Went in there on Saturday night with my husband, Daughter age 24 and her boyfriend, and the barmaid asked for ID for my daughter, which she produced her provisional licence. Only for the VERY RUDE barmaid to say we don't accept provisional licences, which clearly has her photo and date of birth on it. Also her mother and father there to clarify this. You can stick your pub where the sun don't shine. Took our custom else where and they were more than happy to take our money and serve out daughter 😡
Didn’t accept a provisional driving licence as Identification. They said they only accepted passports or full driving licences which is not fair to anyone who doesn’t drive nor travels. The place was empty - would think you would be trying to get customers - not scare them away.
Up until my recent visit the last time I drank in Finlay's was about 35yrs ago. I enjoyed my recent visit, and will make a point of visiting more regular 🍻😊👍
