A nice pub with some really good beers and ciders. It was a very cosy pub with a warm open log fire. Friendly and helpful staff. The food that was available when we were there though was just various types of pork pie and cheese boards so not a great variety. Also dog friendly.
Superbly kept traditional pub in a former station. Great seating outside. Function room in. the rear courtyard which looks very nice. Also 2-3 benches on the other side of the building on a lawn if you want a quieter spot. A range of well kept ales, 1 or 2 craft beers on keg and some nice Ciders. Some quality lagers and a Titanic Stout was on when I last visited which beats Guinness hands down for me. Platters of pork Pie quarters along the bar too which was very pleasant and cheerful bar staff always make it. Well done all. We will definitely return.
Impressive pub that serves a decent homage to the old railway here as well as a good pint. Impressive courtyard with section of old track. Impossibly smart and attractive staff who's well trained eye contact melted this old guys heart. But on the other hand despite the wide away of ales and crafts nothing listed as vegan friendly / isinglass free, nor anything re their snacks / pies. Shame. Still good pub and worth the countless awards tbf
Lovely pub, serving great beer on tap. A must for any train enthusiast. Outdoor seating area has lots of features and is great to sit outside in good weather enjoying a drink. Friendly serving staff. Right next to the Southwell trail with plenty of great walking opportunities.
LOVED this quirky, atmospheric and little gem of a watering hole with its many characterful spaces, FAAAAABULOUS range of draft real ales and ciders and tasty pork pies. Friendly, welcoming, unpretentious with great service from fully engaged, helpful staff. Worthy of 6 ⭐ 🥰
