Spur of the moment decision to go for Sunday lunch. A bit short on places to park, but managed to get one not too far away. I'd have preferred it if the ' dog - friendly ' area had been kept separate from the rest of the dining area, ( tho I appreciate that not all dogs get on well with one another ! ). One owner did allow their dog to run around un - checked, which was quite disturbing. Clients sitting near to me were having a REALLY noisy conversation about things which I'd consider better to be kept private. Nevertheless, the overall atmosphere was pleasant, as was the dining area itself. The room, table, cutlery, etc., were all clean, and the staff were very friendly, helpful, and adaptable. As a pensioner, I was allowed to order a child - sized portion, ( to leave room for dessert ! ), a concession which I really appreciated. I have a good appetite, but it was plenty for me. Great to find roast pork on the menu --- with the bonus of some marvellous crackling ! Service was prompt, and some extra requests I made, attended to with no fuss. Everything nicely cooked and tasty. My dessert was something quite unique : utterly delicious ! I wish I could afford to visit more often, but your prices are certainly not exorbitant, and my meal was worth every penny. I've recommended you to some of my friends, and I will certainly come again when I am able.
Very nice choice of food, I went for the Buffalo wings with blue cheese. I would of preferred the cheese on the side to dip the wings in. I love steak so went for the rump, a bit chewy but tested nice. Nice choice of beers and the overall service was good. Very good value.
A proper pub. Went for a function out the back, a great spread by the pub and they kept on top of it making it look great all the time. Good section of beers and drinks. Very welcoming, friendly locals and the manager was on the ball with everything that happened. Great night, thank you all.
First visit. Great garden and tasty food. Prices not too bad. Love the attitude towards the doggies
Great pub. First visit - on a pub crawl of the Alverstoke area - Wadworth beers were spot on (tied Wadsworth pub), friendly welcome from both staff and customers and a pleasant light interior. Believe has a popular garden but I sat inside. Thanks all for a pleasant few halves. Edit : all the real ales were some of the best quality Wadworth beers I've had for a long time 🍺
